A Practical Progression from Strength to Calm

KunAqua events are designed for midlife bodies seeking joint-safe strength, improved balance, and a calmer nervous system. Using vertical, posture-led water training (standing, not swimming), we build functional power without weights, running, or impact. No swim skills are required — most work is performed at chest-to-chin depth.

KunAqua Retreats (3–7 days)
• Daily sessions: Morning alignment and gait (forward, backward, lateral, rotational); afternoon strength and flow; evening walking, breath-led movement, and quiet water practice.
• Extras: Prop-based Yoga Asana adapted for the midlife body.
• Outcomes: Noticeable improvements in balance and posture, reduced joint discomfort, and renewed confidence in everyday movement.

KunAqua Workshops (2–4 hours)
Focused intensives for clubs, spas, and physiotherapy teams:
• Posture cues (crown hook, hip headlights, navel string)
• Forward and backward gait for glute strength
• Lateral and rotational drills for fall prevention
• Progressions and self-checks participants can repeat independently

FAQ

1. How is KunAqua different from water aerobics?

This isn’t cardio, classes, or splashy fitness. KunAqua is a vertical, posture-led movement system focused on strength, stability, and movement clarity. We work on how you move — not how many reps you perform — to rebuild anti-gravity strength that transfers directly to real life.

2. Who is it for?

KunAqua is for anyone who wants to build strength without joint strain. It’s especially suited to people for whom mainstream fitness hasn’t worked, those concerned about balance or ageing joints, or anyone who wants to move with more confidence, control, and ease.

3. Do I need to know how to swim or use equipment?

No. All work is done standing in chest-depth water. No swimming skills, flotation devices, or gym equipment are required. Water provides the resistance, support, and feedback.

4. What are the quick wins I can expect?

Participants commonly report:
Up to 90% less joint loading compared to land-based training
Noticeably improved posture and balance through re-engaged stabiliser muscles
A calm, focused state after sessions, often accompanied by a visible sense of ease and vitality

5. I have an injury. Is it safe?

KunAqua is deliberately joint-friendly and graded. If you have cardiac concerns, recent surgery, or unhealed wounds, consult your doctor before participating. For retreats, all conditions are reviewed in advance to ensure safety and appropriate modifications.

6. What's the best way to start?

Begin with the two books: the KunAqua Illustrated Manual (the how) and KunAqua: The Deep Dive (the why). If you want a personalised approach, you can apply for a consultation.
